Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney fit to face Everton?

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will shake off an ankle problem to feature against Everton at the weekend, according to numerous reports.

Widespread reports have claimed that Wayne Rooney will be fit to face his former club Everton on Saturday afternoon.

The Manchester United captain was forced to sit out England's 2-0 win over Estonia on Friday evening and tonight's clash against Lithuania because of an ankle injury.

However, it has been speculated by numerous outlets that the 29-year-old will recover in time to feature at Goodison Park.

Rooney has scored five goals for the Red Devils this season, although just one of those has come in the Premier League.
