Matty Fryatt: "We gave it a good go"

Hull City striker Matty Fryatt believes that the team "gave it a good go" in their 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.

Matty Fryatt has said that Hull City "gave it a good go" against Manchester United in the Premier League this evening.

Teenage striker James Wilson gave the home side a 2-0 lead before Fryatt pulled one back for the Tigers, but Robin van Persie sealed a 3-1 win for United late on.

The 28-year-old told BBC Sport: "I was pleased with the goal. We gave it a good go in the second half.

"It has been a disappointing season for Manchester United but for a team like ourselves it is always a difficult place to come."

Hull face Everton in their final game of the Premier League season on Sunday, before taking on Arsenal in the FA Cup final later this month.
