Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that Phil Jones and Eric Bailly will be his two starting centre-backs for Friday's pre-season clash with Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai.
Summer signing Bailly made his debut for the English giants against Wigan Athletic at the weekend, starting alongside Daley Blind in central defence, before playing the second period of the 2-0 win with Jones.
Chris Smalling is now with the squad after representing England at Euro 2016, but Mourinho has confirmed that it will be Jones and Bailly at centre-back in Man United's second pre-season clash.
"In the other match [against Wigan] I started the match with Bailly and Blind as central defenders. Tomorrow I shall start with Bailly and Jones, to see different things and we will try for the best result but that is not the most important thing," Mourinho told MUTV.
Eighteen-year-old Axel Tuanzebe is another option for Mourinho in central defence.
