Former Manchester United midfielder Lee Sharpe has said that the Red Devils should 'send Romelu Lukaku on holiday for a couple of weeks'.
Lukaku has netted four times for United this season but is without a goal in his last eight matches at club level, and his form has been scrutinised over the last month.
Sharpe has claimed that the Belgium international 'has the worst first touch he has seen for a striker', and believes that United should rest the 25-year-old due to his current struggles.
"I've never seen a centre forward with such a bad touch. If your centre forward can't hold the ball up, it makes it a very hard game," Sharpe told talkSPORT.
"He's saying he's played a lot of football at the World Cup and since and that he's feeling it. I think the best thing would be to give him a rest. Send him off on holiday for a couple of weeks."
United will return to Premier League action against Lukaku's former club Everton this weekend.
