Louis van Gaal's future not discussed during Ed Woodward conference call

The future of Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal was not discussed during executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward's conference call to investors.

Louis van Gaal's future as Manchester United boss was not discussed during executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward's conference call with the club's investors on Thursday afternoon.

Van Gaal has a contract at Old Trafford until the end of next season, but it is widely thought that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will step into the position this summer.

The Dutchman's future was expected to be addressed on Thursday, but the conference call ended with no discussion on Van Gaal or the rumours surrounding Mourinho.

There were also no questions on the club's struggles in the Premier League this season, which have placed their involvement in next season's Champions League in severe doubt.

Man United's results for the second quarter, which cover the final few months of last year, revealed that their commercial revenue had risen 42.5% to £66.1m.
