Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has said that he has "lots of faith" in Axel Tuanzebe and Scott McTominay.
Tuanzebe, 20, has only made two first-team appearances for United this season, but McTominay, 21, has made five, and the latter has been a regular in Mourinho's first-team squad during the 2017-18 campaign.
The United manager has admitted that he would have liked to have given both more football, but has found it difficult due to the "respect" that he has for "some of the older players" in the squad.
"Sometimes I don't play them more because I have respect for some of the older players that are always ready for the team but in terms of their qualities they are ready to play for the team, so I play them with 30 or 35 minutes to go," he told MUTV.
"I played Scott against Benfica before we had even qualified. I have lots of faith in them."
Tuanzebe and McTominay both featured in United's 2-1 win over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
