David Moyes rejects disharmony claims

Manchester United manager David Moyes insists that there is a positivity among his playing squad, despite speculation to the contrary.

David Moyes has refuted suggestions that there is unrest in his Manchester United squad.

The majority of the campaign has been dominated by reports that certain players have been unhappy ever since Moyes replaced Sir Alex Ferguson last summer.

However, ahead of this afternoon's clash with rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford, the Scottish boss has insisted that there is currently a "really upbeat mood" at the club.

"From what I see every day, positivity is growing around Carrington. What goes on there is completely different to what people perceive the situation to be at Manchester United," he wrote in the matchday programme.

"Behind the scenes there is a really upbeat mood about the place and there has been for a while."

The Red Devils go into the match against Liverpool seventh in the Premier League table, 11 points behind Arsenal in fourth.
