David Moyes: "We were extremely unlucky"

Manchester United manager David Moyes claims that his side were "extremely" unlucky in falling to an eighth defeat of the season at the hands of Stoke City on Saturday.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has claimed that his side were "extremely unlucky" in falling to an eighth defeat of the season at Stoke City yesterday.

Charlie Adam scored a deflected free kick and a spectacular strike from the edge of the box to see Mark Hughes get one over on his former club.

After the game, Moyes bemoaned the Red Devils' fortunes.

"I don't know what we have to do to win," he told reporters. "I thought we were extremely unlucky.

"We played well but for their first goal it was an incredible deflection and the second was a worldy."

United are seventh in the table, six points off a top-four position.
