Rui Faria: 'Jose Mourinho is happy'

Manchester United assistant Rui Faria insists that Jose Mourinho is "happy" despite being sent to the stands during his side's frustrating 0-0 draw with Burnley.

Manchester United assistant manager Rui Faria has insisted that Jose Mourinho is "happy" despite his side's goalless draw with Burnley this afternoon.

The Red Devils were frustrated by the Clarets at Old Trafford, with Burnley keeper Tom Heaton putting in a man-of-the-match display to keep the home side at bay.

The match also saw Ander Herrera sent off and Mourinho banished to the stands, leaving Faria to carry out the post-match media duties, but the assistant is confident that his side will be able to turn their form around.

"For sure Jose is happy. I am not here to say we are very happy with players' performances if that wasn't the feeling from all of this," Faria told reporters.

"We tried and we created many chances, their goalkeeper was the best player on the pitch. Things didn't happen, I believe better days will come."

The draw leaves United eighth in the Premier League table, already eight points adrift of the top three.
