Manchester United's Louis van Gaal 'not interested' in Paul Scholes's criticism

Louis van Gaal says that he is 'not interested' in Paul Scholes's claims that Manchester United are sometimes "miserable" to watch.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has insisted that he is not "affected" by Paul Scholes's claims that the team are not enjoyable to watch under the Dutchman's leadership.

The United legend recently claimed that the team's style of play is "miserable" and also questioned why Van Gaal reacted to Sam Allardyce's accusation of long-ball tactics.

In response to Scholes's remarks, Van Gaal said in this afternoon's press conference: "I don't worry about it, it's not so interesting, I think, because he is one of the fans, I hope, and fans can criticise. That's what I have to say about that.

"I am used to it and I think all the players are used to it because they are not first-time professional football players. Maybe some players are not affected, most of the time it does not affect me or the players."

United are currently third in the Premier League table.
