England manager Roy Hodgson is expected to name Manchester United striker Wilfried Zaha in his squad for next Wednesday's match against Scotland.
The 20-year-old, who came off the bench to win his first cap against Sweden last November, has impressed for United on their pre-season tour of Asia, effectively ending any hope that Crystal Palace had of taking him back on loan.
With question marks over the fitness of Andy Carroll, Jermain Defoe and Daniel Sturridge, the Daily Mail reports that Zaha will be the man to fill the void.
It is believed that his Old Trafford teammate Danny Welbeck will also make the squad, but there is doubt over Wayne Rooney's participation, as his future with the Red Devils remains in the balance.
