Alexis Sanchez makes his first Premier League start for Manchester United in Wednesday night's trip to Tottenham Hotspur.

Alexis Sanchez has been drafted in to make his first Premier League start for Manchester United in Wednesday night's trip to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Chile international, who made his Red Devils debut in the FA Cup fourth-round win at Yeovil Town on Friday, is part of an attacking quartet that includes Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.

Sanchez's inclusion means that Juan Mata, who extended his United tenure on Tuesday night after the club triggered a clause in the Spaniard's contract, drops to the bench in Jose Mourinho's only change from the 1-0 win at Burnley on January 20.

Spurs, meanwhile, have made three changes from their 1-1 draw against Southampton 10 days ago.

Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier are replaced by Kieran Trippier and the fit-again Christian Eriksen, while Hugo Lloris is back in between the sticks as Michel Vorm drops to the bench.

The game comes too early for Brazilian winger Lucas Moura, who signed for the North Londoners from Paris Saint-Germain earlier on deadline day.

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Trippier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Alli, Son; Kane
Subs: Vorm, Rose, Walker-Peters, Wanyama, Sissoko, Lamela, Llorente

Manchester United: De Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Jones, Young; Matic, Pogba; Sanchez, Lingard, Martial; Lukaku
Subs: Romero, Rojo, Shaw, Fellaini, Herrera, Mata, Rashford
