Bayern Munich are reportedly 'confident' of winning the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz during this summer's transfer window.
The speculation surrounding the 20-year-old's future has gathered pace in recent weeks, and it appears that Leverkusen will be unable to keep hold of the Germany international beyond the end of the season.
Manchester United have been strongly linked with the attacker, and a recent report claimed that he would be open to moving to Old Trafford ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in a player who has scored 15 times and registered eight assists in 38 appearances at club level this season.
However, according to The Independent, Bayern believe that they are at the head of the queue for the playmaker and could look to conclude a deal over 'the next few weeks'.
Havertz, who has scored six times in his last five league outings for Peter Bosz's side, is expected to line up against the German champions in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.
