The value of Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has allegedly dropped by a considerable margin since the start of 2019.

The value of Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has allegedly dropped since the start of 2019.

Barcelona spent in the region of £120m to sign Coutinho from Liverpool in January 2018, and the playmaker has gone on to score 18 goals from 42 starts and 17 substitute outings.

However, according to Transfermarkt, Coutinho is now only worth £86m at a time when Manchester United have been linked with an approach for the 26-year-old in the summer.

Coutinho still holds a long-term contract at Camp Nou, but Ernesto Valverde has only used the player on a rotational basis in recent months.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has previously indicated that the club are not interested in selling Coutinho.
