Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries has admitted that he was "flattered" to attract interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
After arriving from PSV Eindhoven in August 2021, Dumfries enjoyed a successful debut season with Inter where he scored five goals and provided seven assists in 45 appearances, helping his side win the Coppa Italia.
As a result of his impressive form, Dumfries attracted interest from Chelsea and Man United in the summer, although no move materialised.
While the two Premier League clubs could still attempt to sign the Netherlands international in January, Dumfries says that he is focused on Inter despite being "flattered" by the Premier League links.
The 26-year-old told De Telegraaf: "The interest flatters me, of course. But my focus is only on Inter. We want to win the Scudetto because we lost it last season."
While Dumfries has scored two goals and registered one assist in nine competitive games this season, Inter have started the season below par and find themselves in seventh place in Serie A with 12 points from seven matches.
