Manchester United have reportedly made Everton's Amadou Onana a key transfer target for the summer window.
Onana decided to stay at Goodison Park in the January window in order to help Everton's battle against relegation, but clubs remain interested in the Belgian midfielder.
After moving to Merseyside from Lille last summer, Onana has been one of Everton's better performers in what has been a difficult season for the Toffees.
Football Insider claims that Onana fits the profile of the type of midfielder Erik ten Hag wants to bring to Old Trafford in the summer.
Man United's results often suffered when Casemiro was missing through suspension this season, so Ten Hag is said to be looking for a physical, combative presence to add to the squad to complement the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen in the middle.
Everton's potential relegation would leave Onana very likely to leave the club, but even if they survive, their current financial troubles could see them look to cash in on the 21-year-old should a big offer come in.
