Manchester United midfielder Fred organises personal fitness sessions in a bid to force his way back into the team, according to a report.

Manchester United midfielder Fred has reportedly organised personal fitness sessions in a bid to win a spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's midfield.

Fred scored just once in 17 Premier League appearances for United during the 2018-19 campaign following a move from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2018.

The 26-year-old has not been involved at all this season, however, and Fiorentina have been credited with an interest in the Brazil international.

Solskjaer has reportedly given the South American assurances over his future at the club, though, and according to the Manchester Evening News, the midfielder has organised additional fitness work next month in order to force his way into the first-team picture.

Fred, who has not played for United since the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City at the end of April, was not selected in the Brazil squad for the 2019 Copa America.

United will attempt to bounce back from Saturday's shock 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace when they travel to Southampton this weekend.
