Manchester United have reportedly lost out to Juventus in the race to sign Atalanta BC attacker Dejan Kulusevski.
The 19-year-old is contracted to Atalanta but is currently on loan with Parma, where he has registered four goals and seven assists in 17 Serie A appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.
United were allegedly keen to secure a deal for the teenager at the end of the season, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve have already agreed terms ahead of the January transfer window.
The report claims that the Old Lady will pay an initial £30m for the attacker, although the deal could eventually reach £43m due to various performance-based add-ons.
Kulusevski is also allegedly in line to receive a deal in Turin until the end of the 2023-24 campaign, while he is expected to remain on loan with Parma for the remainder of the season.
Arsenal and Inter Milan have also been credited with an interest in the youngster, who made his international debut for Sweden in November.
Meanwhile, according to super-agent Mino Raiola, Erling Braut Haaland rejected the chance to join United in January in favour of agreeing a deal with Borussia Dortmund.
The 19-year-old has been strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford in recent months but will officially become a Dortmund player at the start of 2020.
