Liverpool are reportedly set to join the race to sign England international Kalvin Phillips.
Despite struggling with injuries, Phillips still managed to appear in 23 games for Leeds United in the 2021-22 season, with his performances catching the eye of a number of Premier League clubs.
A recent report indicated that Chelsea had shown an interest in the midfielder, alongside the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United who have also been linked with the 26-year-old.
However, according to The Mirror, Liverpool are also set to rival their fellow Premier League clubs for the Englishman's signature.
The report indicates that the Reds are expected to miss out on their primary target Aurelien Tchouameni, which has forced Liverpool into looking at alternatives.
A potential deal for Phillips is likely to cost in the region of £60m, and Jurgen Klopp's side know they face heavy competition for the Leeds academy product.
Phillips has scored 14 goals across 234 for appearances for the Yorkshire club.
