Manchester City and Manchester United could reportedly go head to head for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane during this summer's transfer window.
The 27-year-old has again been in impressive form for Spurs during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 29 goals and registering 16 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions.
Kane still has more than three years left to run on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but according to The Athletic, he will push for a move this summer if Spurs fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Jose Mourinho's side were knocked out of the Europa League last month, meaning that they will have to finish in the Premier League's top four to be present in next season's leading European competition.
As it stands, the North London club are sixth in the table, three points behind fourth-placed West Ham United, ahead of Sunday's clash with Man United.
The report claims that Man City and Man United are both interested in signing the England captain and could battle for his services in the upcoming market.
Kane, who will allegedly delay a decision on his future until after this summer's European Championships, is also believed to be admired by Barcelona and Real Madrid.
