Manchester United are reportedly preparing to rival Liverpool for the signature of Fulham's Fabio Carvalho at the end of the season.
Liverpool were allegedly on the verge of signing the teenager during the winter transfer window, only to miss out at the final moment, having been unable to submit the paperwork in time.
A recent report claimed that the Reds have an agreement in place to sign the attacker this summer, but according to the Daily Star, Man United have also joined the hunt for his signature.
The Red Devils have allegedly sent scouts to watch Carvalho in recent weeks, and the club are determined to beat their bitter rivals to the youngster's signature on a free transfer.
The 19-year-old - out of contract at the end of June - has been in impressive form for his Championship club this season, scoring eight times and registering five assists in 21 appearances in all competitions.
Real Madrid, Barcelona and AC Milan are also said to be among the clubs keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding the versatile attacker.
