Manchester United and Liverpool could reportedly go head-to-head for the signature of Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch during next summer's transfer window.
The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for his Dutch club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring once and providing one assist in 13 appearances in all competitions.
Gravenberch's contract in Amsterdam is due to expire in June 2023, though, and a number of clubs have been credited with an interest in the Netherlands international.
According to The Mirror, both Man United and Liverpool want to hold talks with the teenager's agent Mino Raiola over a possible deal ahead of the 2022-23 season.
The report claims that Ajax are determined to sign the midfielder to a new contract but will struggle to keep hold of him due to the growing interest in his services.
Gravenberch has scored 10 times and registered eight assists in 74 appearances for his Dutch club since making his first-team debut in 2018.
