Manchester United reportedly end their interest in Atletico Madrid's Kieran Trippier due to Diogo Dalot's impressive recent form.

Manchester United are no longer considering a move for Atletico Madrid's Kieran Trippier, according to a report.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeking competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back, Trippier was thought to have been earmarked as a leading target.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man is a key member of Diego Simeone's squad, however, and Atletico are understood to value Trippier at £34m.

According to The Mirror, United have now ended their interest in the England international, as Solskjaer believes that Diogo Dalot is now capable of challenging for a place in the side.

Dalot has been tipped to complete a permanent move to AC Milan after an impressive loan spell last term, but the report claims that Solskjaer no longer wants to part ways with the Portugal international, who scored in his side's recent friendly win over Everton.

As a result, Arsenal could jump to the head of the queue for Trippier's signature, with the Gunners supposedly identifying the 30-year-old as an ideal replacement for Hector Bellerin.
