Manchester United are reportedly set to rebuff any attempts to prise Daniel James away from the club amid links with Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manchester United reportedly have no plans to let Daniel James leave the club this summer.

The Wales international has struggled to become a consistent part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans, and the arrival of Jadon Sancho is expected to limit his game time further.

As a result, James has been tipped to complete a move away from Old Trafford this summer, with Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion both linked with a swoop.

However, The Sun reports that Solskjaer is reluctant to let the 23-year-old leave given that Marcus Rashford's injury woes could see him miss a portion of the season.

James is currently signed to the Red Devils until 2024 with the option of a further year, but the report adds that Old Trafford chiefs could attempt to tie him down to fresh terms.

The former Swansea City man scored five goals and assisted two more in 26 appearances last term, and he played the opening 45 minutes of his side's 4-2 friendly defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
