Manchester United have reportedly been scouting DC United attacker Luciano Acosta ahead of a potential move for the Argentine in this summer's transfer window.
Acosta joined DC United from Boca Juniors in 2017 and has been in impressive form for the MLS club, finding the back of the net on 20 occasions and providing 28 assists in 108 games.
According to The Athletic, Man United have sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old in action, but the Red Devils could face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who were linked with the South American in January.
Acosta, who is a teammate of Wayne Rooney, has scored once and provided one assist in five MLS appearances during the new campaign.
The 5ft 3in playmaker largely operates in the number 10 position and could be signed as a replacement for Juan Mata, who has been tipped to follow Ander Herrera out of Old Trafford when his contract expires this summer.
