Manchester United allegedly expect to confirm a deal for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho before the end of the next transfer window.
Due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, it has been claimed that United are reluctant to pay in excess of £50m for the England international.
However, according to Duncan Castles of The Transfer Window Podcast, the stance is a negotiating tactic at a time when Dortmund still want to receive close to £100m for the 20-year-old.
While Castles says that Dortmund are in no rush to sell Sancho, he feels that there have been hints over wanting to balance the books in light of the current global crisis.
Sancho currently has two years remaining on his contract, putting Dortmund in a position where they must reach a decision over Sancho's future in order to maximise his value.
