Manchester United have reportedly identified West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice as a priority signing this summer.
Newly-appointed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be provided with a significant transfer budget ahead of next season, and the North-West giants are known to be in the market for defensive players.
According to The Independent Ireland, United are prepared to pay big money in order to secure the signature of Hammers prospect Rice.
The 20-year-old has established himself as one of Manuel Pellegrini's key men, and the England international is able to play in the centre of defence or in midfield.
West Ham will demand in excess of £50m, but it has been suggested that United are prepared to meet the East London outfit's asking price.
Rice still has over five years remaining on his contract at the London Stadium.
