Manchester United have reportedly identified Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic as a summer transfer target.
Over the weekend, United moved to the brink of Champions League qualification, a consequence of a 1-0 win over Bournemouth and Liverpool being held to a 1-1 draw by Aston Villa.
However, although this squad has delivered on their pre-season targets, Erik ten Hag intends to strengthen in a number of areas ahead of 2023-24.
That includes down the middle of the attack, United having been overly-reliant on goals from Marcus Rashford with Anthony Martial having spent a significant part of the campaign injured.
Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst has also failed to impress on a consistent basis, leaving a new striker as a priority if United wish to close the gap on Premier League champions Manchester City.

The likes of Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen have been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford at a time when they could leave their respective clubs.
According to Football Transfers, United are instead preparing an offer for Vlahovic.
The Serbia international has endured an indifferent campaign in Turin, scoring 14 times from 31 starts and eight substitute outings in Serie A and European matches.
While that is deemed to be a respectable return, Juventus are said to be open to cashing in on the 23-year-old and the player himself is open to an exit.

Over the weekend, it was reported that Chelsea had already offered to pay €80m (£69.5m) to get a deal for the forward over the line as they bid to resolve their own issues in the final third.
Nevertheless, the report says that Chelsea will be rejected by Vlahovic with playing Champions League football a priority for the player.
Combined with United's supposed desire to spend less than the £100m+ valuations of Kane and Osimhen, an approach for Vlahovic could be more realistic.
The former Fiorentina man still has just over three years remaining on his contract at the Serie A giants, who also appear in line to qualify for next season's Champions League.
