Manchester United have reportedly failed in their bid to sign Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich.
With Aaron Wan-Bissaka currently linked with a departure from Old Trafford, United are keen to bring in another right-back, despite the fact that Diogo Dalot has started all three league games this term.
The Red Devils identified Pavard as a potential option, with the full-back also linked with Chelsea, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
However, according to The Sun, United had a bid rejected by Bayern Munich, with the Frenchman keen to remain at the Allianz Arena.
The Bavarians set an asking price of £30m for the 26-year-old, but the player has persuaded the club to keep him, ending United's interest in the France international.
Pavard has started all three of Bayern's league games this season, finding the net in their Bundesliga opener against Eintracht Frankfurt.
