Manchester United scout Benfica duo?

Manchester United reportedly send scouts to assess the development of Benfica duo Ruben Dias and Florentino Luis.

Manchester United have reportedly made another check on the development of Benfica duo Ruben Dias and Florentino Luis.

Despite having been frequently linked with a wide range of players during the summer transfer window, United only added Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James to their ranks.

However, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be active over the next 12 months, with the Norwegian likely to target younger prospects over experience.

Having previously held an interest in Dias and Luis, Sport Witness claims that United sent representatives to assess the pair as they faced Braga on Sunday night.

Both players featured as Benfica registered a convincing 4-0 victory, a result which moved the club into second place in the top-flight standings.

United will likely continue to monitor the Portuguese duo during the first half of the campaign ahead of potential bids in either January or next summer.
