Manchester United have reportedly agreed to hold discussions regarding the future of Juan Mata.
The Spaniard has spent the last five years at Old Trafford and remains an important member of the squad, but the 29-year-old has less than six months left on his contract.
Mata is free to discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs, but according to The Sun, the player's father and agent Juan Mata Snr is due to hold talks with United's hierarchy.
The report also claims that the creative midfielder will speak with caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has named Mata in just three of his six starting lineups since replacing Jose Mourinho.
United are unlikely to contemplate selling Mata for a cut-price fee during the January transfer window.
