Forward Anthony Martial has reportedly moved closer to penning a new contract at Manchester United.
Martial has spent the last three-and-a-half years at Old Trafford, with a total of 45 goals being scored from 117 starts and 42 substitute appearances in all competitions.
However, United recently needed to activate a 12-month option in the 23-year-old's existing deal to strengthen their position regarding the player's price-tag, and it appears that could improve in the near future.
According to Sky Sports News, Martial is said to be ready to pen a new five-year contract with the Premier League giants, having been restored to the starting lineup under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The departure of Jose Mourinho may have eased Martial's stance over his future, with the Frenchman having previously had a disagreement with his former boss and not shown a willingness to extend his stay at the club.
