Manchester United are ready to hand Marcus Rashford a new contract that will see the striker double his wages, according to a report.
The England international has thrived in a central role under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by scoring in four of United's last six matches, including the winning strike in last week's 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Rashford's return to form is only likely to increase speculation of a switch to Real Madrid, with the European champions rumoured to have made their interest known towards the end of last year.
The Mirror claims that the Red Devils are about to open talks with the 21-year-old over extending his stay at Old Trafford, however, with a new £150,000-a-week deal being tabled to reflect his importance to the club.
Academy product Rashford is currently on a weekly salary of £75,000 and is tied down to United until the summer of 2020, though there is the option to extend that by a further 12 months should he turn down the new long-term deal awarded to him.
