Nemanja Matic will reportedly leave Manchester United on a free transfer when his contract with the 20-time English champions expires at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
The 31-year-old has only played 22 minutes of Premier League football this season, with the Serbia international behind Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba in the pecking order at United.
Matic will see his current deal with the Red Devils expire next summer, although the club do have the option of an additional 12 months.
According to Calciomercato, though, the 20-time English champions are not planning to take up on the option of an extension, meaning that the Serbian will be free to leave next summer.
The report claims that Inter Milan and AC Milan are both keeping a close eye on developments with a view to potentially agreeing a pre-contract in the early stages of 2020.
Matic, who recently admitted that he was unhappy with his current playing situation in Manchester, has made 88 appearances for United since arriving from Chelsea in the summer of 2017.
