Manchester United manager David Moyes will reportedly hold fresh talks with Wayne Rooney over his future at the club later this week.
Moyes has not spoken to Rooney since the England forward left United's tour of the Far East with a hamstring injury three weeks ago.
Rooney is still believed to be determined to leave Old Trafford this summer, despite the club's insistence that he is not for sale.
The two men will speak when Moyes returns from United's pre-season tour of Asia tomorrow, with the Scot still hopeful of persuading Rooney that his future lies in Manchester, according to the Daily Mail.
United expect Rooney to be available for next week's friendly against AIK in Stockholm after he resumed light training at the club's Carrington training base yesterday.
