Newcastle United have reportedly offered Ousmane Dembele 'a monster contract' to make the move to the Premier League club on a free transfer next summer.
The France international's deal with Barcelona is due to expire next June, and it is believed that discussions between the two parties have broken down.
The Catalan giants allegedly cannot afford to meet Dembele's wage demands, and a recent report claimed that two Premier League clubs had already approached the World Cup winner.
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, the attacker has received a large contract offer from Newcastle, who have become one of the richest clubs in the world following their recent takeover.
The 24-year-old has only made eight appearances for the Catalan giants during the 2021-22 campaign due to injury, and he has struggled with a number of fitness problems during his time at Camp Nou.
Dembele, also linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, will be unavailable for selection against Mallorca on Sunday, with the forward one of a number of Barcelona players to recently test positive for coronavirus.
