Porto have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard on a season-long loan deal.
The two clubs have been in constant dialogue over recent days in order to conclude the transfer of Alex Telles, who moved to Old Trafford on Monday.
However, according to ESPN, Porto used the opportunity to enquire about some of United's out of favour players.
With the Portuguese transfer window still open, the league champions are said to be keen on signing England international Lingard.
United are open to parting ways with the 27-year-old, preferably on a permanent basis with the playmaker having less than a year remaining on his contract.
Nevertheless, the Premier League outfit would also jump at the chance to reduce their wage bill by allowing Lingard to join Porto on loan.
