Real Madrid will wave goodbye to one of Sergio Ramos or Raphael Varane this summer, according to a report.
Los Blancos captain Ramos is yet to pen an extension on his existing deal which expires next month, and there is a growing expectation that he will end his 16-year association with the capital outfit at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Varane's contract is due to run out at the end of the 2021-22 campaign, and the World Cup-winning Frenchman is thought to be on Manchester United's radar as they search for a long-term partner for Harry Maguire.
Now, Marca reports that only one of the duo will be on the books at the Bernabeu next summer, and Varane is more likely to remain with the club.
The report adds that Real Madrid are hopeful of increasing their chances of signing Kylian Mbappe if his compatriot Varane stays on, but the defender may yet be sold if he fails to agree to a contract extension.
Zinedine Zidane is also expected to welcome David Alaba to the club from Bayern Munich this summer, while Real Madrid will not consider offers for Nacho Fernandez or Eder Militao.
