Report: Manchester United want Serge Aurier

A report claims that Manchester United want Paris Saint-Germain's Serge Aurier to become their new first-choice right-back.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to bring Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier to the club in the January transfer window.

Aurier's time at PSG has largely been harmed by off-the-field problems, including a well-publicised spat with former head coach Laurent Blanc earlier this year, which led to a one-month suspension.

The right-back was also found guilty of assaulting a police officer outside of a Paris nightclub in September, which led to the Ivory Coast international receiving a two-month prison sentence, although that punishment has been appealed.

Earlier this month, it was claimed that Aurier's agent had travelled to Barcelona to begin talks with the Spanish giants, but according to The Mirror, Man United are in the race after sending scouts to watch the defender in action for his country against France on Tuesday night.

It is understood that Aurier, who has made 10 appearances for PSG in all competitions this season, could be available for a figure in the region of £18m.
