Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly ready to quit Real Madrid and return to the Premier League.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been considering a sensational return to the Premier League.

The 27-year-old winger, who moved to the Bernabeu for a record transfer fee of £80m from Manchester United in 2009, is believed to be feeling disillusioned with life in Madrid.

It is thought that the Portugal international is missing Old Trafford and former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, which has prompted suggestions that Ronaldo may move back to the North West, according to the Daily Mail.

Manchester City's billionaire owners are the only English club likely to afford the former Ballon d'Or winner and have become favourites to clinch his signature.

Real boss Jose Mourinho has also been linked with a return to England.
