Takehiro Tomiyasu is closing in on a move to Tottenham Hotspur after agreeing personal terms with Nuno Espirito Santo's side, according to a report.
Recently-appointed Spurs manager Nuno is thought to be keen to bolster his defence this summer, especially with Toby Alderweireld's future shrouded in uncertainty.
Bologna centre-back Tomiyasu has supposedly been identified as an ideal signing, although the Japan international is also said to have caught the eye of Manchester United.
However, Calciomercato claims that personal terms have now been agreed with Tottenham, who are edging ever closer to meet Bologna's valuation of the 22-year-old.
The report adds that the Serie A side are holding out for a bid of €20m (£17.1m), but Tottenham's latest offer just fell short at €18m (£15.4m).
Tomiyasu has been called up to Japan's squad for the Tokyo Olympics, though, which would see him miss a good chunk of pre-season preparations in North London.
