Manchester United are reportedly preparing to battle Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Flamengo midfielder Lucas Paqueta in the January transfer window.
Paqueta, 21, has a release clause of £45m inserted into his current contract, although it is understood that the midfielder is nearing a new deal with Flamengo that could see that price rise to £63m.
The left-footed attacking midfielder made his senior Brazil debut during the recent international break and has scored nine times and registered five assists in 54 appearances for Flamengo since breaking into the first team.
Barcelona have previously been linked with a move, but according to le10sport, PSG and United will go head to head for his signature at the start of 2019.
Paqueta's existing deal with Flamengo will run until December 2020.
