Torino goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet has criticised the timing of Adnan Januzaj's decision to commit his international future to Belgium.
The Manchester United winger could have represented Albania, Kosovo, Turkey or Serbia due to family ties, but picked the central European nation last month.
Gillet, who has nine caps for Belgium, believes that he made the decision with the World Cup in mind.
He told Het Nieuwsblad: "To announce that now you choose Belgium, I just think comme ci, comme ca.
"He would have been a great man if he had made his choice after the World Cup.
"Maybe he smelled his chance if there was pressure from Belgium. But if you decide that now, I just have to smile."
Earlier in the week, Belgium manager Marc Wilmots confirmed that Januzaj will be in the preliminary squad for the summer tournament in Brazil.
