Middlesbrough are understood to be interested in a move for Chelsea youngster George Saville.
The 21-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan at Brentford, helping the Bees gain promotion to the Championship.
A number of second-tier clubs, including Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers, are thought to be keen on landing Saville this summer.
However, Boro are leading the chase for his signature ahead of the new season, according to Sky Sports News.
Saville scored four goals in 44 appearances for Brentford during the 2013-14 campaign.
