Valon Behrami predicts Napoli response

Napoli midfielder Valon Behrami insists that their defeat to Juventus will have no lasting effects on their bid for Serie A supremacy this season.

Napoli midfielder Valon Behrami has insisted that his side managed to take positives from their 3-0 defeat to Scudetto rivals Juventus before the international break, despite losing ground in the Serie A title race.

The Azzurri slipped four points behind league leaders Roma after falling to their third defeat of the campaign in all competitions, but Behrami believes that their performance in Turin deserved a more positive result.

The Swiss international told Corriere del Ticino: "The reverse in Turin left a mark on us for a whole week. But what caused us more harm was not being able to compete in the loss to Arsenal in the Champions League.

"The 3-0 we suffered at Juventus is a misleading scoreline because it suggests that we were not in the game. Yet that is not true because we were the side playing football in the second period.

"We got back on track even after the defeat against Roma. We have discussed things with boss Rafael Benitez, there is no cause for alarm and we found positive aspects even in defeat."

Napoli are back in Serie A action on Saturday night, with Parma the visitors to the San Paolo Stadium in Naples.
