Gonzalo Higuain keen to make "history" with Napoli

Gonzalo Higuain says that he made the right choice in moving to Napoli from Real Madrid last summer.

Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain has said that he wants to "write history" at the club.

The 26-year-old joined from Real Madrid last summer and has claimed that he made the right choice moving to Italy.

"Naples is an incredible city where football comes first, followed by everything else," he told Ole. "For someone like me who loves this sport, it is a wonderful place, because they live for football.

"I had absolutely no doubts about choosing this club. President Aurelio De Laurentiis convinced me straight away with a top level Coach like Rafa Benitez and his project.

"I want to help this team to grow and write history with Napoli. We know it is difficult, but we will try. In Italy football is more tactical, so it's harder to find space and I'm sure I will improve my own game a lot by playing in this league."

Napoli are currently third in the Serie A table.
