Derby County boss Steve McClaren has dismissed speculation linking him with the vacant managerial position at Newcastle United.
The Rams boss previously downplayed rumours that he was in line to succeed Alan Pardew at St James' Park, but has now quashed them entirely.
"I've dismissed that link and I'm sticking to that," he told BBC Sport. "We've a job to do here, it's a great club and we're challenging at the top of the Championship, aiming to get into the Premier League."
Newcastle are seeking a new manager following Pardew's appointment as Crystal Palace boss, with John Carver currently serving as caretaker manager.
Derby reached the fourth round of the FA Cup this weekend with a last-ditch victory over Conference side Southport.
