Walsall winger Jamie Paterson is close to sealing a move to Championship side Nottingham Forest, according to reports.
Paterson had been linked with a summer move to Huddersfield Town with his contract at the Saddlers having just 12 months left to run.
However, according to the Nottingham Post, Forest have stolen a march in the chase for the 21-year-old and are now favourites to complete the transfer.
The City Ground outfit would have to pay a six-figure fee for Paterson, who scored 13 goals for Walsall last season.
