Nottingham Forest have reportedly moved closer to securing the signing of Watford goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon.
The Romanian has been with Watford for two seasons but just two substitute outings have come in the Premier League, partly because Watford allowed the stopper to spend the last campaign on loan at Deportivo La Coruna and Forest respectively.
Pantilimon made 13 appearances for Forest in the Championship, and it has resulted in the East Midlands outfit looking to seal a permanent deal for the 31-year-old.
According to the Nottingham Post, the two clubs have already come to an agreement over a fee and although negotiations continue regarding personal terms, Forest are confident of completing the transfer.
Aston Villa have also been linked with Pantilimon, but it appears that Forest will win the race for the goalkeeper's signature.
