Tottenham Hotspur join race to sign Jamaal Lascelles?

Tottenham Hotspur will attempt to beat their rivals to the signature of Jamaal Lascelles with a £5m bid, according to reports.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign Nottingham Forest defender Jamaal Lascelles this summer.

Recent reports have suggested that a number of Premier League clubs are interested in securing a deal for Lascelles, who received praise for his performances in the Championship last season.

According to the Daily Mail, Spurs will lodge an official £5m bid for the 20-year-old by the end of this week as Mauricio Pochettino looks to approach his targets early in the transfer window.

Tottenham are believed to be willing to loan Lascelles back to Forest next season to ensure that the centre-back is gaining valuable first-team experience.

Queens Park Rangers reportedly had a £4m bid for Lascelles rejected last week.
